The difference between Prop 8 and all the other ones mentioned… is Prop 8 was put to a popular vote needing just 50% to pass… all the others used as evidence against R-Hs argument were votes by the elected government needing 66% to 75% to pass… there ARE fundamental differences here… including being able to hold those officials accountable and not re-elect them, and them having to be open and public about their vote, not casting a secret ballot and them going about their lives.
not to mention… USD 20M coming from Utah, with influence and power to take away rights from citizens of California.
there’s so many ways this is so wrong, I’m still shaking my head in disbelief.
