Ubuntu Desktop Linux Trend Linux distros started from very different positions back in 2004. Red Hat was the Linux brand by default back then. Today, from a market perspective, Ubuntu is almost a synonym of Linux Desktop They’re making inroads in servers too. But, just like Red Hat conceded defeat on the desktop, wouldn’t it be wise for Ubuntu to play on their strengths and focus on delivering an even better desktop Linux ?
