vruz: the other day a friend told me a true horror story from the recruitment industry. they were (trying) to hire a software developer. long story made short, the guy had barely passed all the technical tests, but they were willing to give him a chance. there was a remaining psychological test, but that’s usually not a problem for anyone to get hired at this particular company.
at the very last minute, when they were about to end the session, the guy points at some videogame console designs he saw on paper asking “these are guns, right?”. ermmm… no, they’re videogames. “with guns, right?”. recruiters glance at each other complicitly: a definitive NO. the guy had just blown the chance he got at the very last minute.
and… where were we? ah yes… Harrison Ford.
the name of the guy was Harrison Ford Rodriguez. how can you forget?
